Boris Borenko & Irina Avdeeva (RUS)

Irina Avdeeva (RUS)

Irina was just a little girly girl when she got into dancing. She started with seven years of ballroom followed by 6 years of hustle, jazz, salsa, pop and tap-dance. She’s been a West Coast Swing geek since WCS entered Russia more than five years ago. Irina wants to constantly develop her dancing skills. She’s a familiar face in international master classes and competitions.

Irina’s been teaching since 2006. She’s widely regarded as one of the most popular Russian teachers of West Coast Swing. She gives classes in her hometown Moscow and she travels teaching master classes around Russia and neighboring countries.

Irina competes regularly and at the moment she has an Advanced status according to WSDC system.

Boris Borenko (RUS)

Boris has his dancing background in Hustle and Tap-dance.

Boris went to his first West Coast Swing class in 2008. It was a bang and a wow and a snap! He got addicted immediately. Ever since he’s been a regular participant and a finalist of many Russian and international West Coast Swing competitions. Boris has Intermediate status according to WSDC system.

Céline began competing in the international system WSDC in 2010. After many European and American competitions, she is now in Advanced category, but her preference is still the social dancing which has earned her Social Dancer honorary award at Swing Diego in 2010.

Nicolas is a real enthusiast who has gradually made dance his life: dance teacher, DJ (DJ Flex), artistic director of Encas-Danse Studio, teacher trainer and choreographer. He’s known for his smooth style, finesse and pedagogy.

Nicolas took his first dance steps in year 2000. After Rock, Salsa, Waltz, Cha Cha etc. he got into Boogie Woogie. He began teaching in 2005.

His first West Coast Swing experience was in 2006: ”Yes! Finally a that’s dance adapted to the contemporary music and that everybody can express with one’s own style!” In 2007 he launched weekly WCS lessons, parties and workshops in Toulouse. Since 2009 Nicolas has been running West DUCK Swing in Toulouse, the most famous WCS festival of South West France.

In 2011 Nicolas opened his own dance school Toulouse and now the Studio already has 10 teachers for many genres. He also runs Masterclass transmitting his knowledge and experience through professional training for teachers and future teachers.

You know your way around familiar basic patterns, anchor, stretch, acceleration and deceleration and other things crucial to West Coast Swing. Not only do you use what you’re given but you CREATE.

Level 3
Your terminal illness of West Coast Swing is definitive. You travel around A LOT to get help for your yearning for swing. You know your way around all the West Coast Swing basic techniques and still you go back to sources as you know that dancer is never really complete. You want to be challenged.

Note: Levels 2 and 3 will have an audition on Saturday morning to form the levels. Teachers will also move people down to Level 1 if they find it necessary.
